Peer Support Services

Peer support services are similar to CCSS and are an extension of therapy.  Peer support services are programs, groups, events, and discussions within the behavioral health system led by people in recovery, based on the philosophy of a person in stable recovery helping others through their recovery journey.  These services can be provided to the individual alone, with family, or in a group setting.  Peer support services assist with the development of skills to aid in recovery and accountability from a support who has been through the recovery process and understands the challenges that may exist.
